About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and effective Chief Finance Officer to join our incredible team within our fully inclusive, all-through learning community. We are in a position to offer full and part time applications for this post. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who has outstanding experience and/or potential. The postholder will be responsible for delivering robust financial management, statutory compliance and high-quality reporting.

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Leadership Team, responsble for the financial leadership, probity and sutainability of Caroline Chisholm Education Trust.

As the Trust’s senior finance professional, the CFO provides strategic direction, delivers operational excellence in financial management, and ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. They support the Principal in fulfilling the role of Accounting Officer and help the Trust achieve its long-term educational and organisational goals through sound financial stewardship.

Our school is a dynamic and heavily oversubscribed all-through academy which, as England’s first all through state school, covers an age range from 4 to 19. The school caters for over 2100 students across our Primary phase, Secondary phase, and Sixth Form. The school has an incredibly talented and motivated staff body and a supportive, bright, and extremely well-behaved student body.
