Ready to take the next step in your HR career? We’re looking for a friendly, proactive Senior HR Advisor to join our growing HR Team at Meridian Trust!
If you love variety, people, and making a real difference in your role, this could be the perfect fit. You’ll be the go-to person for a hub of schools in and around Peterborough, supporting our school leaders and HR Officers with but not limited to advice and guidance, ER casework, audits & Occupational health referrals. 

This is a full time field based position between the following schools:

The Bluecoat School, West Town Primary Academy, Sawtry Junior Academy, Somersham Primary School, Orton Wistow Primary School, Nene Valley Primary School, Woodston Primary School, Greater Peterborough University Technical College, Nene Park Academy, Sawtry Village Academy, Swavesey Village College, Stamford Welland Academy & Nenegate School. 

The Opportunity

Develop effective relationships with Principals/Headteacher and HR Officers in schools that build trust and confidence.

Offer advice and guidance to managers in respect of all aspects of HR Work

To undertake informal audits of HR practices in schools, offering advice to HR Officers in the completion of accurate files and records (ensuring effective security of both manual and computerised data).

To support HR Officer in schools to effectively perform their roles.

The ideal candidate

Experience of working in a school HR environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Level 5 or above qualification in Human Resources or equivalent work-based experience. 

Experience of handling ER casework

A good knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
