About this Role

Park High School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of English to join a successful and supportive department from September 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis. The post is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and more experienced teachers looking to broaden their experience and continue developing their practice.

The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate. The role involves planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons that enable students to make strong progress and achieve positive outcomes, while contributing to curriculum development and promoting literacy, oracy and a love of learning.

As a member of staff at Park High, you will also play an important pastoral role, acting as a form tutor when required, supporting students’ wellbeing, attendance and personal development, and working closely with colleagues, parents and carers to help every student thrive. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people are central to the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, character-driven school with excellent behaviour, strong outcomes, a broad and ambitious English curriculum, and a genuine commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development.
