About this Role

The Park High maths department is seeking a reflective practitioner to share our passion for teaching maths, and delivering excellence, across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. All exams (GCSE Maths, GCSE Statistics, GCSE Further Maths, A level Maths, A Level Further Maths) follow the Edexcel syllabi.

A few things about us of which we are very proud:

Our learners! They are at the heart of all we do, and are thriving.

Our impact! Around 60% of all sixth form students at Park High are studying A level Maths, not including the class studying A level Further Maths. We take this as a strong indicator that what we do at GCSE is working well and, more importantly, we are making a difference to the life chances of our Key Stage 4 cohorts.

Our ambition! At GCSE, not only do we run Further Maths GCSE for years 10 & 11 but we are also starting GCSE Statistics this September. We take this as a strong indicator that our students enjoy their maths classes; they want more maths and trust us to deliver excellence.

Our reputation! We are involved in hosting and delivering sessions for Trainee teachers at the Institute of Education. We are regarded as exemplars of teaching practice and are honoured to be shaping the next generation of classroom professionals.

If you are the type of professional who is always striving for better; who is a fan of teaching; and who is relentless in ensuring learning takes places in a kind, purposeful environment; then please apply to share your qualities with us and our students
