We are looking for a Class Teacher - Year 3 - Maternity Cover to develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences for all students, ensuring progression is central to all lesson plans and giving our students the confidence to think big for themselves as they progress through our academy The successful candidate will have full teaching responsibilities shared with 2 other class teachers.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
  • Demonstrate and teach lessons which are consistently ‘good’ or better and work with colleagues to become an ‘outstanding’ teacher
  •  Make effective use of a range of assessment monitoring and recording strategies to assess the learning needs of your students in order to set challenging learning objectives and plan for future teaching.
  •  Act as a tutor for students supporting the academic and pastoral needs of each individual
  •  Know how to identify and support learners affected by changes or difficulties in their personal circumstances.

Pay range: MPS £32,916.00 - £45, 352.00 - 4 days a week maternity cover

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Degree in subject specialism
  • Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
  • Effective classroom management
  • Ability to support staff and students in maintaining high standards
  • Ability to encourage students in developing self-esteem and respect for other
