We are looking for a Teacher of Science to and ignite a passion for discovery. We’re seeking an energetic, inspiring educator to bring science to life, raise aspirations, and support students in achieving their full potential. Make a real impact in a forward-thinking, ambitious school community. 

Key responsibilities:

• Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
• Set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all students in your classes
• Have knowledge of a range of approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment.
• Maintain a secure knowledge and understanding of your subject(s) and related pedagogy to enable you to teach effectively at the Academy
• Know how to use skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT to support your teaching and wider professional activities

Pay range:

M1-M6: £32,916 - £45,351

Full time, Permanent

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS)
• Degree in related subject specialism
• GCSEs Maths & English
• Effective classroom management
• Ability to encourage students in developing self esteem and respect for others
