Lead Teacher of
Music
About the role
Thank you for your interest in the
position of Lead Teacher of Music at The Hathershaw College. This is a
fantastic opportunity to work with a wonderful team of staff and pupils. As a
founder partner in establishing The Pinnacle Learning Trust, the values and
ethos of The Hathershaw College are closely aligned with those of the Trust as
we continue to shape and develop our work to improve the life chances for young
people in Oldham and the local area. www.pinnaclelearningtrust.org.uk
The Music department is part of the
EPA faculty and is proud to be an Artsmark Gold School. We are a MiSST partner
school and have worked closely with the excellence programme since 2021.
Students in years 7-9 study music theory and are given opportunities to perform
in lessons.
We are a good school and benefit from a close working
relationship with the other Academies within the Pinnacle Family. This will
help the successful candidate gain a good understanding of the Music Curriculum
in primary schools and also provide opportunities for study beyond GCSE. There
may even be opportunities to work across the Trust with students from all
phases.
If you have a passion for providing
the very best for young people to improve their life chances, then we look
forward to hearing from you.
If you would like to discuss the
role further, in the first instance, please contact Vicki Sainsbury, PA to the
Principal (on 0161 770 8514 or vs@hathershaw.org.uk). Should you wish to apply for the post, please
read the information below carefully.
