Year 7 Inclusion Practitioner
Part Time (32.5 hours) Term-time plus Insets (39 Weeks)
Band D (£32,597 - £37,280 pro rata)
Starting salary £24,545
We are looking to appoint an outstanding and creative Year 7 Inclusion Practitioner, with experience of working with those young people who may have Educational Health Care Plans or are in the process of beginning the assessment.
The successful candidate must have experience, knowledge and understanding of the EHCP process to be able to implement successful strategies to support our children and young people. They will also have the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with both parents and professionals. They will have worked successfully as part of a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Working within the Student Development team, the role will be to support
the educational development and inclusion of the children here at Alderbrook
School. Under the direction of the Head of Inclusion, the successful candidate
will be required to work with all stakeholders; preparing and reviewing EHCP
documentation, as well as being a key support to a number of our students who
benefit from a more nurturing environment. This may include planning and
delivering interventions to small groups and to individual students; supporting
teaching staff and working with our parents.
In addition, you will be required to work with our external services
such as SISS Autism; SISS SEMH; and Solar.
