This is a new and exciting opportunity created as part of
our unwavering commitment to delivering the very best education for every
student—particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
(SEND). As we align our provision with the Government’s ambitions outlined in
the recent SEND White Paper, this role sits at the heart of our inclusive
vision.
The Assistant SENDCo will play a pivotal role in ensuring
that every student with SEND receives the support they need to thrive. Working
closely with the Director of SEND and Deputy SENDCo, you will help to ensure
that communication between students, staff, and parents is clear, consistent,
and meaningful. You will support the implementation and monitoring of
high-quality provision, ensuring that interventions are effective and delivered
in a timely way.
You will join a dedicated, experienced, and collaborative
team within our Gateway provision, where inclusion is not just a priority but a
shared passion. We offer a comprehensive induction programme, alongside ongoing
opportunities for professional development—allowing you to grow in the role
while contributing your own experience, insights, and expertise.
This role is both rewarding and demanding. You will need to
confidently manage a busy and varied workload, juggle multiple priorities, and
communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. However, the
challenges are matched by the opportunity to make a genuinely meaningful and
lasting impact—supporting young people with SEND, working closely with
families, and contributing to a community that strives for a truly world-class
educational experience for all.
If you are passionate about inclusive education and ready to take the next step into SEND leadership, we would be delighted to hear from you.
