About this Role

Cottingham High School, part of The Consortium Academy Trust, is an 11-16 secondary school with over 800 learners, located in the heart of its community. This summer, we celebrated a significant rise in GCSE results, with sharp improvements in progress and achievement at the 9–4 benchmark, including English and Maths. Innovation and inclusion are at the heart of our journey. In September we launched the Thrive Centre—the only school-based hub in the country dedicated to relational practice and inclusion. This is an exciting time to join Cottingham High School as we continue to shape positive futures for every member of our community.

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher, who will take up the post as soon as possible.

How you will make an impact:

  • You will play an integral role in the leadership of the school, providing inspirational and highly effective leadership in order to secure consistently high standards of behaviour and attitudes, attendance and safeguarding, alongside world-class personal development opportunities to impact on the experiences and outcomes of all students.
  • As an integral member of the Leadership Team, you will champion the vision and values of the school and the Trust, consistently demonstrating high standards of professionalism and integrity.

As a Trust, we are ambitious about the future - creating learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children and young people with the best chance at a successful future.

This is a great time to join the Trust, as we progress at pace in our next stage of development. We very much look forward to receiving your application for what will be a stimulating, challenging and professionally fulfilling role.
