About this Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious practitioner to lead our highly successful Film Studies provision across Key Stages 4 and 5. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate subject specialist to build on a well-established course with a strong track record of high uptake and excellent outcomes. 

Film Studies is a thriving part of our curriculum, with two groups is both Year 10 and Year 11, and strong numbers in both Year 12 and 13. The subject plays an important role in the academic and cultural life of the school, engaging students and supporting a wide range of post-16 and post-18 pathways. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • To lead and develop Film Studies across KS4 and KS5
  • To be accountable for the quality of education and outcomes in Film Studies
  • Enhance and sustain the profile of Film Studies as an important part of our broad curriculum offer

We are looking for a leader with a deep appreciation of Film Studies, who can inspire students and staff alike, further develop an already strong curriculum and continue to build on our success at both KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate will combine strong subject knowledge with a commitment to high-quality teaching, ensuring students are both challenged and supported to achieve highly. The successful candidate will also need to be a teacher of English, Geography, History or Psychology.

The role would suit an ambitious teacher ready to take the next step into subject leadership, or an experienced practitioner looking to further develop their leadership within a supportive and high-performing faculty.
