Would you like to give back to your local community?

Our schools are currently looking for:

• Knowledge of the local community in western Milton Keynes
• Experience in communications and marketing
• Experience of school governance or chairing

The benefits of being a governor are immense. These benefits include:

• Developing your professional skills & experience such as strategic planning, chairing, financial planning, governance & team working, all of which are valued by employers and can assist your own career development
• Building relationships & networks in the local area
• Building a knowledge of the school and supporting children and young people in our community

The time commitments:

• 4 x 3-hour in person Local Governing Board meetings per year.
  2/3 meetings in person per year with the link governor area you are the contact for.
  Attending meetings (approx. 6 per year)
• School visits (2-3 per year)
• Undertaking additional reading
