The opportunity:
The PE Support Assistant is a vital role within the PE department and is key to ensuring outstanding PE teaching and an enriching extracurricular programme. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals currently working in, or with a strong interest in, girls’ sport, as well as those seeking to gain valuable school-based experience or considering a future career in teaching. The role involves responsibility for resources, maintaining equipment, and providing support for both PE lessons and extracurricular activities. The work carried out by the PE Support Assistant is highly valued by staff and contributes to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment across curriculum lessons and extracurricular PE clubs. As a PE Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and enthusiasm for physical activity and sport, helping to inspire students and support the school’s wider aims. Experience of girls’ sport is essential.
