Teacher of Religious Studies 0.8 to 1.0 FTE

The ideal candidate would be able to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, and teach KS5 either immediately or in the near future and would be keen to work at the highest level of secondary school RS.
Successful applicants will be supported through their ECT process (if appropriate) with a dedicated mentor, in-school training and a supportive department to help them develop into a highly effective practitioner.
The candidate must be:
• An inspirational teacher.
• Driven in their relentless pursuit of the highest standards across the department.
• Highly organised and meticulous.
• Creative and imaginative.
All students study RPE (Religion, Philosophy and Ethics) in KS3 with a broad and balanced curriculum for understanding diverse worldviews as well as preparation for further academic study. GCSE Option RS is a popular choice at KS4 with approximately half the year group choosing to take the course - AQA GCSE Religious Studies A (Christianity and Buddhism). The learning journey continues at KS5 with OCR A level Religious Studies.
