Salary range: £68,725 to £75,859 per annum
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Reporting to: Headteacher
North Durham Academy is seeking to appoint an outstanding
and ambitious Assistant Headteacher (Mathematics) to join our senior leadership
team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational
leader to drive excellence in mathematics teaching and learning while
contributing to the strategic leadership of the whole school.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the vision for mathematics across the school, raising standards of attainment, and ensuring that all students develop strong numeracy and problem-solving skills that prepare them for future success. They will also take on an additional school-wide leadership responsibility (to be determined depending on experience and interest).

Connect Multi-Academy Trust is legally obligated to

period of 6 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for
