SEMH Coach (SEND Team)

To commence September 2026

Permanent/Full-Time

Salary: Grade 6 £31,536 - £35,412 pro rata, £27,366 - £30,730 actual

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive, self-starter who is able to think ‘on their feet’, to support young people finding it difficult to access their learning in the classroom at Shenley Brook End School.  You will work closely alongside our SEND Team, supporting students to manage and regulate their own behaviour and access the mainstream curriculum and lead small group or one-to-one interventions with the SfL department.  You will be skilled in developing appropriate relationships with young people that foster trust and influence them to make positive choices that enable them to be successful in the classroom and in all aspects of school life.  Experience in supporting students in sporting/physical activity sessions would be desirable.

You will be responsible for promoting positive behaviour, working with pupils, staff and parents/ carers to manage behaviour proactively through well-defined routines, highly positive relationships, a restorative approach, and use of proportionate and personalised reward.

The ideal candidate will:

·         Be a great communicator and team player

·         Have great levels of resilience

·         Have a sense of humour and be relentlessly optimistic
