We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and
compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join our supportive school
environment. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of helping students who face
challenges, building strong relationships and creating an environment where
they can thrive. If you're motivated, creative, and ready to support our
students, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored advice and
structured interventions to empower students to make positive choices
regarding their behaviour, attendance, and social interactions (with full
support for structuring and resourcing these interventions).
- Collaborate with teaching
staff and colleagues to share effective strategies for supporting
students.
- Build strong connections
with parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for
every student.
- Strengthen the
school-family partnership to enhance educational opportunities and foster
a positive attitude toward learning.
- Act as a dedicated
keyworker for assigned students, tracking their progress, attending
meetings, and reporting concerns to the SENCo and Head of Year.
- Uphold confidentiality and
adhere to safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of
all students.

- Has a strong understanding
of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- ELSA (Emotional
Literacy Support Assistant) qualification.
- Previous experience working
in a secondary school setting.
- Experience supporting
children/young people with special educational needs.
