About this Role

Attendance and Administration Assistant – 33.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.45am – 3.00pm, term time only (38 weeks). Grade C – Step 1 Actual Annual Salary £19,262.58 (which is equivalent to a full-time salary of £25,186).

As part of our commitment to staff wellbeing RAISE Education Trust is trialling a two week half term break 19th to 30th October 2026. Following this trial, should the Trust revert back to a one-week October half term break from 2027 the contractual working weeks would increase to 39 weeks and the salary would increase accordingly.

Wildern School is looking to appoint an Administration/Attendance Assistant to join our friendly, busy, office team. Experience of Excel, Word and Google Mail/Documents is essential. Must be able to relate positively to students and staff and be efficient, organised and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the school website
  • Maintain the school calendars that are displayed on the website
  • Post to school social media as required
  • Provide WP/Arbor support.
  • Deal with enquiries from staff and students quickly and efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining an efficient filing system including archiving.
  • Hold a First Aid certificate and support/deputise for First Aid room as necessary.
  • Provide back-up support for Reception/staff absence.
  • Use Arbor to print timetables, reports, etc. as required.
  • Set up all Parent Evening events
  • Coordinating the notifications of detentions to parent/carers
  • Support the implementation of the school’s behaviour policy, including rewards and sanctions
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
  • Produce, analyse, and distribute reports to Senior Leadership and Year Heads to support monitoring of attendance, behaviour, and students.
  • Redact sensitive and confidential information in line with GDPR and school data protection policies 
  • Such other duties as may be reasonably allocated or directed within the purview of the post.

Attendance Admin 

  • Ensure accurate coding on registers for all students on RHP, those attending music lessons, trips, visits and interventions
  • Monitor lesson registers daily and  follow up when necessary
  • Apply and administer school sanctions related to punctuality and attendance
  • Monitor students on Stage 3 to ensure that absences are not authorised unless evidence is provided
  • Produce attendance reports as and when required
  • Manage and process exceptional leave of absence requests and follow up actions
  • Update the weekly attendance tracker
  • Monitor and distribute attendance rewards for identified students
  • Log errors identified on registers for subsequent follow up
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and training sessions to stay informed on best practices related to student attendance and intervention.
  • Such other duties as may be reasonably allocated or directed within the purview of the post
