About this Role
You will:
- Promote excellent levels of attendance across the Academy.
- Work alongside Attendance Improvement Officers and senior leaders to implement academy wide attendance strategies.
- Engage with parents and families via home visits or on-site visits to explore and offer support to improve student attendance.
- Support and challenge both pupils and their families to improve their attendance.
- Contribute the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of pupils who attend the academy.
- Liaise with external agencies, to support pupils and their families to improve attendance.
You will be/have:
- A confident and effective communicator.
- Relentless in your drive to improve attendance, thinking outside of the box to develop attendance initiatives, working in partnership with other colleagues and stakeholders where appropriate.
- Experience of working with families with complex needs.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Proven organisational, time management and problem solving skills.
- The ability to deal with emotion packed situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults.
- Flexible and adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
