Langley Park School for Boys is an exceptional school that ensures excellent academic outcomes for our students.  We are a large, inclusive, over-subscribed, 11-18 school with a co-educational Sixth Form. We are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Acting Head of Sociology to lead our successful department in a high performing school. This is a maternity cover appointment that would commence September 2026 and would be suitable for an experienced teacher.  

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will:

• Have an ability to teach Sociology in a way in which keeps students engaged and stimulated
• Have a proven record as an excellent classroom practitioner
• Have a passion and enthusiasm for the subject to help the department grow and flourish
• Have experience of, or be willing to teach across all Key Stages, particularly A Level
• Be an outstanding teacher looking for the opportunity to lead others and to make an impact in raising standards
