Vacancy for Tutor (Alternative Provision)
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 12, Point 40 £26.69 per hour
Hours: Casual Contract
We have an exciting opportunity for a Alternative Provision Tutor to join our team! You will play a key role in supporting the learning of identified pupils to raise their levels of attainment in English, Science and Mathematics.
The opportunity
- Effective teaching of mixed ability students on a one to one and small group basis
- Provide testing to prepare students for GCSE exams.
- Provide feedback to teachers on students progress
- Setting goals so students can achieve learning objectives, improving their knowledge and confidence in the subject
The ideal candidate
- QTS
- Experience of working as a classroom teacher in the relevant subject
- Awareness of child protection issues
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and techniques to suit the learner
