About this Role

Saltash Community School offers the perfect opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic subject leader to join us in September 2026 and to take on the management of a dedicated team of teachers within our Geography Department.  We welcome applicants with the desire and experience to develop their team and to inspire our staff and students alike.  Travel and Tourism is an exciting addition to our Yr10 curriculum offer for the next academic year and knowledge or experience in delivering this curriculum would be desirable but is not essential.   The ability to lead and deliver the best outcomes for all is a must.

Saltash Community School is a co-educational 11-18 school of over 1200 students including a successful sixth form and incorporating an Area Resource Base; a specialised environment for children with severe and complex learning needs. Saltash is a friendly, caring, supportive and ambitious school with people and relationships at its heart. Here at Saltash we are determined to improve the life chances of every single student on roll, developing happy and healthy citizens who make a positive contribution to our local community and to wider society.

To find out more information about the role please email Gaynor Bersey, Operations Manager at gbersey@saltashcloud.net.

We are unable to accept applications made via CVs or applications from agencies.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks and references, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, the Trust will undertake an online search of all shortlisted candidates.
