About this Role

We are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Support Officer to play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and supporting students whose conduct is a barrier to learning. Working closely with the wider pastoral team, you will help implement the school’s Behaviour Policy, provide on-call support across the school day, and work directly with students to improve engagement, self-regulation and outcomes.

This is a varied, people-focused role involving de-escalation, supervision, data monitoring, parental engagement and targeted interventions. You will build strong relationships with students and families, support staff with behaviour management, and contribute to a safe, calm and orderly learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people, strong communication and organisational skills, and the emotional resilience to manage challenging behaviour positively and consistently. In return, we offer a supportive team environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to young people’s lives.

What we can offer:

  • Experienced and supportive School Leadership Team

  • Opportunities for staff to develop through Continuous Professional Development

  • Local Government Pension scheme

  • Occupational Health

  • Employee Assistance Programme

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Free on site Parking
