About this Role

“The CPD at Ravens Wood is inspiring, creative and forward thinking”

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Physical Education to join our busy, high-performing department, where up to 35 sports fixtures take place each week across a wide range of activities. Our thriving extracurricular programme includes biennial rugby tours to South Africa and France, as well as annual football tours to Madrid and Villarreal. Physical Education staff also play a key role in our hugely popular annual ski trip.

In recognition of the time and passion invested in our extensive sports programme, Physical Education staff benefit from time being given to support their extracurricular involvement.

We are seeking a specialist Football teacher with a competent working knowledge of Rugby to join our exceptional Physical Education department. The ideal candidate will be:

·          Experienced in coaching and managing sport, in particular Football and Rugby to a high level

·          Able to commit to an extensive extra-curricular programme including Saturday morning fixtures.

·          Enthusiastic and able to inspire students and impact them to be the best they can be

·          Positive, creative and determined

·          Empathetic, resilient, and flexible

In return we can offer you:

·          An excellent induction and support programme for new staff

·          Continuous and forward thinking CPD

·          A supportive Senior Leadership Team who consider staff well-being

·          A 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

·          A friendly working environment

·          An on-site fitness suite available for free use by staff

·          Excellent catering facilities including a coffee shop

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all our staff. We particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds as they are currently under-represented on our staff body.

We recognise the vital contribution that members of a diverse team make to our students learning. The range of cultural experiences, differing viewpoints and role models this brings is essential in our Trust and we recognise the gap that would be left in our offering without these.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Employees of the Trust must uphold Safeguarding Policies and Procedures. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Early applications are encouraged, we reserve the right to close the vacancy once a suitable candidate is found.
