About this Role

Zero hours,  Casual contract.

Are you passionate about nurturing musical talent and inspiring the next generation of performers?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Guitar Tutor to join the Encore! music programme on a casual basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instrumental lessons during lunchtimes or after school, helping students develop their musical skills, confidence and enjoyment of music.

The role is primarily based at Oatlands Junior School, although there may be opportunities to provide cover and support at Western Primary School and Harrogate Grammar School as required.

While the ability to teach guitar is essential, the ability to teach additional instruments would be advantageous and would enable broader support across the music programme.

Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

  • Flexible working options: We support work-life balance and are open to exploring suitable arrangements
  • Supportive environment: We prioritise respect, equality, diversity, and well-being
  • Community culture: Collaboration and generosity are at the heart of our team
  • Professional development: We invest in your growth at every stage of your career

About You

To be a good fit for this role, you will be:

  • A skilled musician and educator with a passion for student development
  • A professional individual with the ability to design engaging lessons with clear objectives tailored to student needs and abilities
  • Able to foster a positive, disciplined learning environment built on mutual respect
  • A compassionate and adaptable individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all pupils
  • Committed to building positive relationships with students, fostering respect while maintaining high expectations
