We have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Leader to join Sharnbrook Academy (part of Meridian Trust) which places valuing colleagues at the heart of what we do.

You will be joining a team of 150+ Science colleagues across our family of schools with plenty of opportunities to collaborate and share ideas.

You will play a key role in leading the curriculum team and providing class teachers with expert subject knowledge and leadership. Your strong leadership skills will ensure high standards of teaching are met at all times and create a positive learning environment for the curriculum team.

The opportunity

  • To lead on the delivery of the curriculum area and monitor the quality of teaching practices across the curriculum.
  • Be able to professionally support the development of subject teachers, contributing to their continued success and growth. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of all students to ensure they are prepared for upcoming exams. Reporting students progress to parents and offering support where required. 
  • Be the voice of expressing views, concerns and interests to the Senior Leadership team.
  • Proactively inform subject teachers of any changes to the curriculum. 

The ideal candidate

  •  Qualified Teacher Status
  •  Excellent classroom practitioner and ability to build strong, meaningful relationships.
  • Experience of providing subject knowledge to students and teachers.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity.
