About this Role

We have an exciting, unique opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious Subject Leader of Music to lead our high-performing Music Department. Music at Sharnbrook is a successful and popular subject, with all students studying music at key stage three and many choosing to opt to study the subject at key stages four and five. Students are taught music in our fantastic, dedicated music centre, and we run a wide range of extra-curricular music provision, ensembles and groups, with music tuition available to students in all year groups, including our ‘rare instrument’ programme. The successful candidate will be a subject expert with excellent knowledge of the curriculum at all key stages. They will have the ability to inspire and guide a team of excellent teachers to continually improve the quality of teaching and learning to ensure the best student outcomes possible. A strong desire to work collaboratively across the academy to develop the school’s extra-curricular opportunities even further for students is essential.    

This is a full-time position, part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
