We offer Music at both GCSE
and A Level, following the Eduqas examination board, the department is actively
shaping and enhancing its curriculum across all key stages to ensure a
high-quality and coherent musical education.
The Music Department offers a
wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, with a variety of clubs and
ensembles running regularly at lunchtime leading to a full programme of
concerts throughout the academic calendar. These events are a highlight of
school life and provide students with extensive opportunities to perform,
collaborate and develop confidence as musicians.
Within the department, there
is scope for the successful candidate to contribute towards the continued
development of Music at Southend High School for Girls, particularly through
performance, enrichment and their own musical interests and areas of expertise.
