About this Role

The post:

We are looking for a Teacher of Computer Science for September 2026. 

The Computer Science department aims to equip all students with a strong range of ICT and Computer Science skills, enabling them to work independently across subjects, enjoy using new technologies and prepare confidently for future study and employment. Computer Science is a popular and highly successful subject within the school, with large numbers of students continuing their studies at GCSE and A Level. The department encourages logical thinking, creativity and problem solving through an engaging and challenging curriculum.

Teaching at Southend High School for Boys is an immensely fulfilling experience where students are readily engaged via creative and challenging lessons. This post will suit a teacher keen to play a full part in the life of the school.

About you:

We are seeking an imaginative and qualified specialist able to demonstrate expertise at all age levels to join a friendly and successful department.

We would welcome applications from teachers of all experiences, such as ECT's. 

The ability to stretch and motivate our students, work with other staff and be a good team member is very important.
