Building
on a decade as a Specialist Technology College, de Ferrers transitioned to
Academy status in January 2011. Since then, it has evolved into a thriving,
split-site, co-educational institution, serving students aged 11 to 18. In
2015, The de Ferrers Academy proudly became the founding school of the Affinity
Learning Partnership.

The
Candidate
We are
seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to join our academy as an Associate Assistant
Principal - Tailored Alternative Provision (TAP) Leader. You will have a
passion for inclusion and a deep understanding of behaviour management,
ensuring that vulnerable students receive the support they need to succeed.
With a proven track record in leading alternative provision or behaviour
strategies, you will drive high standards and create opportunities for students
to reintegrate into mainstream education.
As the
leader of the TAP centre, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on
support, overseeing curriculum delivery, student progress, and engagement with
external agencies. You will bring a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and
high expectations while managing the day-to-day operations of the provision.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to build positive relationships with
students, staff, and the wider community will be key to your success.
You will be a qualified teacher with experience in successfully improving outcomes for students at risk of exclusion or disengagement. You will be skilled in data-driven decision-making, budget management, and staff development, ensuring the TAP centre runs efficiently and effectively.
