The Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and methodical individual to join our Science Faculty as a Science Technician. You will bring practical experience in a similar role and demonstrate a strong understanding of scientific methods, techniques, and safety procedures. A qualification such as NVQ2 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities or an equivalent is desirable, though not essential.
You will be confident in supporting both staff and students during practical lessons, demonstrating equipment, preparing materials, and ensuring experiments run smoothly. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. A keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a calm, supportive demeanor when working with students are all crucial to success in this role.
