About this Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Pastoral Manager. Candidates must have a good level of experience in working with various levels of behaviour, communication and to promote positive values at all times within school.

Candidates will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as this role requires regular contact with parents, colleagues, learners and the local community.  The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that they have previous experience in a behaviour and/or restorative role, ideally within a school setting but this is not essential.  Other essential skill sets involve the ability to be able to work flexibly and prioritise workload, work calm under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner at all times. It is desirable for candidates to have received safeguarding training or have good knowledge about the child safeguarding and protection procedures, however full training will be given.

This role is a term time only plus two weeks.  Up to one week to be worked before the start of the academic year to prepare for new learners and changes to existing cohorts. Extra hours to be used to cover extra-curricular activities such as parents' evenings and working outside of Term-time subject to requirements to the school

About our school

Ninestiles, an Academy, is proud to be recognised as the TES Inclusive School of the Year 2025, celebrating our commitment to creating a welcoming, diverse, and high-achieving environment for all learners.

Inspectors highlighted that our learners thrive both socially and academically, showing genuine respect for others’ differences—a reflection of our inclusive ethos and high aspirations.

Our pastoral care is a cornerstone of our success, with highly effective support systems and a staff team that holds consistently high expectations for every learner. At Ninestiles, we focus on securing strong academic outcomes and on preparing learners to become active, responsible citizens.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed by our collaborative leadership team and colleagues across Summit Learning Trust to offer breadth and balance. Learners benefit from a wide range of subjects at Key Stage 3, laying the foundation for informed choices at Key Stage 4, where options are tailored to their interests and abilities.

Beyond the classroom, our vibrant enrichment programme is a real strength of the school. With over 70 clubs and activities—including sport, music, art, drama, and debating—students are encouraged to explore their passions and develop new skills.
