About this Role

Newquay Junior Academy is seeking two caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant (SEND) to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally within our inclusive academy community.

The successful candidate will:


Have experience of working with children, ideally including those with Special Educational Needs.

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Support children with a range of additional needs, adapting learning where appropriate.

Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to deliver targeted interventions and classroom support.

Be patient, resilient and nurturing while maintaining high expectations.

Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
