Arden school, a successful and high performing secondary school in Solihull, currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join our friendly team. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well organised and hardworking individual to join our busy Site Team. Working under the direction of the Site Manager, the main duties of the role will involve repairing and maintaining the school premises and grounds, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the site and buildings, distributing deliveries, setting up for classrooms, assemblies and school functions, the management of evening lettings, and opening & locking up procedures to ensure the school site is secure at all times.

hours per week
Shifts are 2:00pm – 10:00pm (with a 30 min unpaid break), some flexibility in hours may be required.
Support the Site Manager to
ensure the statutory duties of Health and Safety are complied with.
Be responsible to open or close
the school site, dependent on shift. As a key holder, respond to, and carry out,
emergency call outs outside of the working hours.
Assume responsibility
for the security of the premises (including the public footpath through the
school) ensuring access as and when required.
To
assist the Site Manager in maintaining cleanliness and general tidiness of the
site and buildings.
Advise
the Site Manager of any Health and Safety issues, building defects, both
internal and external, and any defective machinery or equipment.
Support the Site Manager in
overseeing the cleaning contractors.
Enable School, PTFA functions and
lettings by working pre-planned overtime at evenings or weekends on a rota
basis.
Ensure the appropriate movement
of school furniture and accommodation requests are actioned on time.
Proactively work with the school
to ensure assemblies and exams are set up or taken down when required.
Ensure the distribution of all
deliveries around school.
Provide vehicle maintenance
checks or cleaning as required.
