About this Role

This is a key role within the school and the successful candidate will join the Senior Leadership Team, taking strategic and operational responsibility for safeguarding and child protection, working closely with leadership colleagues and the wider safeguarding team.  
The successful applicant will:
  • Have a strong track record and up-to-date safeguarding training
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance
  • Be familiar with the work of external agencies, particularly within Solihull
  • Be confident in making timely, professional decisions in complex situations
  • Lead and deliver safeguarding training for staff
  • Communicate effectively and sensitively with families, colleagues and external professionals
