About this Role

George Spencer Academy is a value driven school with an ‘ethos of excellence’ which is fundamental in maintaining exceptional standards in the safeguarding and well-being of all its students. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Safeguarding and Child Protection Lead to oversee operational responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within the school.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team supporting student
  • is motivated and passionate about supporting the well-being and welfare of our students
  • can demonstrate they have the experience and deep understanding of students needs
  • has experience and a broad knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation, policy and practice 
  • is able to lead on the tracking, monitoring, planning and delivery of safeguarding training to colleagues
