Job title:                           IT Technician

Location:                          Healing Academy , with occasional travel required to other sites within the Harbour Learning Trust.

(Some trustwide responsibilities will be undertaken remotely)

Contract:                         Permanent - Term Time- 37 hours per week

About the Role

Harbour Learning Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust consisting of eight academies in the Lincolnshire and Grimsby area.

We are seeking an IT Technician to provide high quality, user-focused IT support primarily to staff and students at Healing Academy. You will also play a key role in providing assistance on support tickets across the wider Trust.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily IT operations at Healing Academy, delivering excellent end-user support, and assisting with Trust-wide digital initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and efficient technical support to end-users, ensuring a positive customer experience, with a main focus on Healing Academy.

  • Communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical expertise.

  • Log and resolve support tickets through the IT Helpdesk, providing assistance on tickets from across the Trust and following up to ensure issues are fully resolved.

  • Conduct user training sessions and create user-friendly documentation.

  • Deliver training on digital tools and resources across the Trust as part of remote trust-wide responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with the IT team to enhance the quality of IT support.

  • Undertake occasional travel between academies to provide on-site technical assistance where required.

  • Support website maintenance and the integration of digital learning resources.

  • Assist in delivering IT projects and the Trust’s digital strategy.

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, Health & Safety, and Trust policies.

About You

You’ll have:

  • 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English, Grade C or above) or equivalent.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

  • A strong desire to learn and develop technical knowledge

  • A flexible, proactive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursed).


Desirable:

  • Experience in the education sector.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, Google, Apple OSx, and iOS systems.

  • A proven track record in IT technical support.

  • IT-related qualifications or Google Educator certifications (Level 1 or 2).
