About this Role

Oxford Spires Academy is looking to appoint a School Therapist with Autism Specialism to support the school’s Counselling and Therapy Team in delivering high-quality psychological and wellbeing support to students. The post holder will play a key role in supporting students with neurodiverse needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ensuring therapeutic support is inclusive, responsive, and developmentally appropriate.

The role has a dual focus: supporting the Therapy Team through triaging counselling referrals, contributing to duty counselling provision, and assisting with associated administrative tasks; and providing targeted one-to-one therapeutic support to students with neurodiverse needs who are accessing counselling. The post holder will work collaboratively with therapists, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies to promote positive mental health, emotional wellbeing, and safeguarding outcomes for children and young people.

Hours: 08:30am to 12pm, Monday to Friday - term time only.
