  • Manage and timetable Inclusion Assistants to ensure effective deployment in class and intervention settings.
  • Support the planning and delivery of targeted intervention programmes, including literacy, numeracy, and communication-based support.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant SEND documentation and records.
  • Support exam access arrangements and associated assessments.

Leadership of Support Staff (Operational Management)

  • Provide day-to-day coordination of Inclusion Assistants, particularly within Cognition & Learning and Communication & Interaction teams.
  • Support effective deployment of staff to meet student need.
  • Ensure interventions and in-class support are delivered consistently and effectively.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, senior leaders, and external agencies.
  • Liaise effectively with parents and carers to support student progress and engagement.
  • Contribute to transition planning for new students and Year 6 intake.
  • Support Year 11 SEND students in preparing for successful post-16 destinations.

Inclusion & Student Support

  • Promote inclusive practice across the school.
  • Support implementation of behaviour strategies for SEND learners.
  • Oversee key intervention programmes and ensure measurable impact on learning and progress.

  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and processes.
  • Experience managing or coordinating support staff desirable.
  • Ability to analyse data and use it to improve outcomes.
