About this Role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more

Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

We are looking for reliable, flexible and trustworthy Exam Invigilators to support our Exams Team during the busy exam periods. The post would suit someone local who is looking for casual hours during the exam periods throughout the academic year, you should be reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly.  No experience is needed as training will be given, but a willingness to support our young people during times of exam stress by being a confident and reassuring presence is a must.

Working days and hours will vary according to your availability, examination dates and number of invigilators needed for each exam.  The main hours will take place during September, October, November, January, March, May and June.

As an Exam Invigilator, your presence will maintain the integrity of examinations in an environment that enables a student to perform at their best. You will assist with setting up of exam venues, checking examination packs, assisting candidates and actively invigilating during examinations.

You will be required to check attendance and record relevant details, so good written and verbal communication is essential. It is essential that you possess good interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with matters calmly, swiftly and firmly, without being confrontational. Confidentiality inside and outside the workplace is essential, as is the ability to support the school's ethos and vision into the wider community.

Previous experience working with secondary school children would be a distinct advantage as any previous supervision experience, although this is not essential.
