About this Role

We are excited to offer you this opportunity to join our Venture team for a period of maternity cover. This post offers teachers of all experience levels (whether just joining teaching or an experienced teacher) a fantastic step in your career in an outstanding academy that places equal value on enjoyment and achievement.

We are looking for you to inspire a passion for Science through our exciting and carefully planned curriculum.  We have excellent support and training to enable you to focus on your development within a collaborative environment. As an academy we are always reviewing our curriculum offer and the willingness to teach in other subjects beyond science (both within the subject area or other faculties) for a small part of the timetable would be desirable but is not necessarily required.

About you

As a Teacher you are required to be competent in all elements of the Teacher Standards, to discharge the Teachers Responsibilities as set out in the Contractual Framework for Teachers of the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and to act in accordance with the School’s ethos, policies and practices, under the direction of the Principal. 

This is an exciting opportunity at Ormiston Venture academy for a  period of maternity cover, and requires you to enthusiastic and passionate with the drive to help our students to achieve their very best.
