About this Role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more

Ormiston Victory Academy is looking for a Cover Supervisor to be involved mainly in the supervision of classes and to oversee the completion of work by students in the absence of the nominated teacher and to provide support for student services and our main reception. You would be working 35 hours per week, term time plus 5 days (39 working weeks per year).  This is a temporary position from January to August, when it will be reviewed.

Applications are welcome from candidates with suitable skills and experience regardless of qualifications, although the position may be particularly attractive to graduates thinking of a career in teaching in the longer term.  Full training will be provided.

About you

To succeed in this role you will need good interpersonal skills together with the ability to earn and maintain the respect of students.  You must be enthusiastic and possess a determined character, together with a positive approach to working with young people and the ability to set clear guidelines for them to maintain standards of classroom behaviour.  Flexibility is required and the ability to support other functions and administrative tasks within the academy as directed.
