About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented Music teacher to join a thriving, ambitious and oversubscribed 11–16 academy, with the opportunity to develop into subject leadership with support and coaching over time.

  • Develop performance opportunities that showcase student talent within the academy and wider community 
  • Receive structured support and development towards subject leadership for the right candidate

About the Role  

As Teacher of Music, you will: 

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Music 
  • Support the continued development of an ambitious and engaging curriculum 
  • Inspire students of all abilities to engage and achieve in music 
  • Contribute to extracurricular music opportunities and academy productions 
  • Support the coordination of performances, concerts and enrichment activities 
  • Work collaboratively within the Creative Arts Faculty 
  • Have opportunities to develop leadership skills and responsibilities over time

  • Is an excellent or aspiring Music teacher with strong subject knowledge 
  • Is passionate about performance, creativity and student opportunity 
  • Can inspire students of all abilities to engage and achieve in Music 
  • Has experience or interest in contributing to: 
  • Choirs / ensembles 
  • School productions 
  • Instrumental programmes

  • Understands the importance of Music within personal development and cultural capital
