Required for an Easter 2026 start (or earlier), we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated & enthusiastic Teacher of Art and Photography to cover a period of maternity leave. We anticipate that this cover will be required for one year.

The successful candidate will deliver outstanding teaching and learning across the key stages, have a passion for Art, be innovative in the classroom and committed to raising outcomes. Knowledge of Photography is desirable, as the timetable of the successful candidate may include some Photography at A-Level.

The Academy

Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school, conveniently located close to the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire borders, and benefits from excellent road and rail links.

The Academy is continuing to expand and due to its popularity and increasing student numbers, a new £6 million wing was opened in September 2018.  This extension is an addition to the £20.6 million state-of-the-art building that was completed September 2012, giving every student the opportunity to learn in an exciting and inspiring environment at an Academy that has been recognised for its high standards of inclusion. The Academy has continued to build on the successes of the last few years and achieved strong results at GCSE & A-Level in the summer.

We are looking for an individual who:

• Is passionate about their subject with a personal interest in contemporary art, art history and photography
• Is able to teach across the age and ability range, bringing creative ideas, energy and enthusiasm using a wide range of different art media
• Is a dynamic and creative classroom practitioner who can engage learners, raising attainment for all
• Ideally has knowledge and experience of teaching Photography
