Hours: 37hrs per week, term time only
Salary: FTE £29,412 – £31,476 (Actual £25,266 - £27,039)
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in teaching or equally someone with more experience within education looking for a new and exciting challenge.
We require a self-motivated,
flexible candidate to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team. Our Cover
Supervisors are key members of our team. They make a valuable contribution
across the academy ensuring that students continue to learn in a supported
environment when a dedicated class teacher is unavailable for the period.
The
successful candidate will:
·
Supervise students
on a lesson-by-lesson basis in departments across the Academy.
·
Ensure students
remain on task and make progress during their lessons.
·
Assist students with
their work, helping them understand tasks and supporting them in their
learning.
·
Manage student
behaviour and follow up on good and poor behaviour issues according to Academy
procedures and policies.
·
Be available for
tasks and deployment for such things as: accompanying Academy trips, workings
with students with SEN, invigilating examinations, collecting and displaying
work.
·
There may be a
requirement to lead a tutor group.
