We are seeking an ambitious part Humanities Teacher specialising in Geography and History, committed to high standards and excellent outcomes. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, inspire curiosity, and contribute to a culture of academic excellence within a supportive, high-performing school environment. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Deliver inspiring and knowledge-rich humanities lessons that spark curiosity, develop critical thinking and empower every student to understand the world around them.
  • Plan and adapt an ambitious, inclusive curriculum that reflects our academy’s high expectations and celebrates diverse narratives and perspectives.
  • Use assessment and feedback effectively to track progress, identify gaps and ensure all learners feel supported, challenged and able to succeed.
  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment built on strong relationships, mutual respect and a commitment to exceptional behaviour for learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Academy through collaboration with colleagues, enrichment opportunities and active promotion of our values and community ethos.

Pay range:

MPS: £19,749.60 -  £27,211.20 (FTE: £32,916 - £45,352)

19.5 hours per week, permanent

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
  • Degree in subject specialism
  • Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons
  • Effective classroom management
