Working alongside an Achievement Director and Assistant Achievement Director, they provide administrative support for a year group of students. More significantly, they support students with their wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and attitudes. Pastoral Support Assistants are often the 'emotionally available adult' in so many of our students' lives and are often the first port of call for families.
Previous experience would be an advantage, but not essential as appropriate training would be offered to the right candidate.
Candidates must have a GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent and be proficient in Microsoft packages. A knowledge of SIMS would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate.
Our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children will be reflected throughout the recruitment process and the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and an online screening check.
