About the Role
Based in
our Sixth Form, the 14-19 Coordinator is part of a strong team focussed on
supporting young people’s study and career aspirations.
Working
on the transition to Key Stage 5, the post requires linking with partner
schools and communicating subject offers, ensuring students choose the right
pathways and are inducted successfully into courses. The role will work closely
with teaching staff and academic managers to manage curriculum issues and
student interventions, where required. The role will also coordinate
participation in external careers events and activities, and support the
organisation of work experience.
The post
holder will work Thursday and Friday (total 14 hours) per week, over 40 weeks,
during term time. This makes the role
ideal for anyone seeking to combine work with family or caring
responsibilities, or further study.
Applicants will have experience of working effectively with students, staff and parents, and be able to build positive and trusted relationships at all levels. High quality administrative, ICT and organisational skills are required; the ability to manage time, tasks and outcomes efficiently, and successfully juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers as well as a wide range of external institutions and agencies. Attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve will be key assets. Your teamwork will be demonstrated in your flexible and professional approach.
