About the Role
The Parent Communications &
Student Services Administrator is an integral member of the Student
Services Team at the City Academy Hackney.
A key focus of the work will be developing effective lines of communication
with parents and ensuring these align with Trust policies and data protection regulations. This will range from newsletters, emails and letters,
to a variety of digital content. The post holder will manage the school website and communication
platforms, and produce and distribute key Academy publications.
As well as being the
primary contact for parent communications, there is also an expectation the
post will contribute to day to day Student Services operations, including
reception cover, reprographics support, and first aid duties.
This post at The City Academy Hackney will appeal to
anyone with a background in communications or PR, who enjoys the buzz of a varied
and busy work environment. Term-time-only working will be a considerable asset for
anyone with childcare responsibilities.
Applicants must have experience of working with the general public and of some form of community engagement. Knowledge of media best practice and safeguarding is essential. With high level written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities the successful candidate will be able build good working relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies. A professional attitude, flexibility and proactivity will ensure effective solutions are brought to challenging scenarios.
