The Samworth Church Academy are
looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Music Tutor to join our
expanding department. We are seeking a skilled drum kit teacher to deliver
high-quality, engaging lessons to students in 11 – 18 age range. Applications
are welcome from both specialists and multi-instrumentalists. We are also
particularly interested in hearing from teachers who can offer brass or
woodwind tuition.
The successful applicant will be
expected to consistently deliver outstanding and inspiring instrumental music
lessons to our students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music
education and sharing their instrumental knowledge. They will be responsible
for ensuring all students who are participating in instrumental lessons are
making good progress, setting ambitious goals for students and supporting any
music qualifications students are participating in (GCSE, A Level and graded
music exams). They will also be responsible for appropriately differentiating
and scaffolding their teaching to ensure that lessons are accessible to all
students.

This position will be offered on a zero hour casual contract with working hours within the normal school day and academic term time (39 weeks). Although the contract is zero hours, we anticipate a consistent demand for instrumental lessons and as the provision grows, hours will likely increase.
